This prestigious residential development for Bellway Homes at Elderbridge, in the heart of Dorchester, involved the construction of a reinforced concrete frame structure extending from the basement slab through to the fourth floor level.

Working within a particularly tight site footprint, Gracelands carefully coordinated the construction programme alongside tower crane operations to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of materials and structural elements throughout the build. The project also incorporated precast concrete stair flights, which were delivered to site with handrails pre-installed, improving installation efficiency and enhancing site safety.

As part of the wider structural works, Gracelands constructed reinforced concrete retaining walls designed to support the adjacent roadway and manage the significant changes in site levels across the development. The project required close coordination, detailed planning, and high-quality workmanship to successfully deliver the complex reinforced concrete package within a constrained town-centre environment.
